Excel Question

I have a query on Excel which I'm sure some "excel whizz" out there will know.
When I go into "Custom Header" and type, for example, Profit & Loss Reconciliation. Why doesn't the "&" work? It's not the end of the world but I'd be interested to know how to rectify this.
Kind regards
Steve

You're correct Steve - it doesn't work though rather disappointingly I have absolutely no explanation why!
Peculiarly it will accept a forward slash which you annoyingly can't use when naming a new document hence my AC-DC MP3's rather than AC/DC!!!

Very odd! It's not something that I'm bothered about I just wanted to know if there was a way around it or why it happens!
Best regards
