Company Flat

A director who pays PAYE on his £25K salary has a company flat that this paid for by the company. This is recorded on his P11d.

Would it be more cost effective for him to pay the rent himself:ohmy:

    Hi Kay

You would need to crunch the figures - ie what the rent is vs. the tax on the benefit.

If you give the figures, and someone is bored this afternoon - they might help you work it out

The benefit would be the old rateable value (may be open to negotiation) plus 6.25% x (value of property - 75000).
