I have a really pain in the #!! client and I do not want to be involved for another year's accounts. What is the best way to ditch him? Politely!
Of and does anyone else want him??

You could write to him and say that you have reviewed his/clients charges and that you propose to charge him some astronomical fee next year. He might go away but he might stay at the new rate and that may make him a better client in your eyes0

You could also just write him and say that you no longer wish to act for him, wish him all the best with his business and say you will co-operate with his new advisers.
Best wishes

First client I ditched I told them I am having to narrow my field of expertise to certain sectors and their sector was unfortunately not one of them.
Nowadays, I just do as Steve suggested and if they ask for a reason I just say I no longer have the capacity to do the work.0 -
Thanks for all that advice. Much appreciated.0
