    Pretty standard really, asked her parents, booked a weekend away, asked her on one knee at the sea edge by the cliffs on a sunny spring day, no one else around for miles, had champagne that i had smuggled down the beach.

    Its in Porth which is about a mile up the coast road towards watergate from Newquay. You have to climb down 133 steps to get down to it.

    But surely that's Whipsiderry, Paul. Porth is the other side of the island and doesn't have steps. I did much the same thing when I proposed but amongst the dunes at Crantock
