Do I really need to explain mine?0

We need to know your middle name, Chris, as your website only shows first, initial and surname!:001_tt2:0
-
Here's a hint. Christopher John Carne0
-
Mine's obvoius too but it's all backwards - I'm actually Rexine Mada
:001_tt2:0 -
I've also been known to use Maldoror taken from the proto-surrealist novel by the Compte de LautrΓ©amont, though that nick is not particularly unique to me. Variations thereof have included Mal, Mal-evolent, Mal-adjusted, Mal-content and Les Fleurs de Mal (afer Baudelaire of course)t0

I'm mal-nutrition!0

Mine is Cullen because that was my dog's name. He is dead now and I break down and cry manly tears of bereavement every time I visit this forum. It's a torture to me every time I post.................
Gem, I have a nephew called Aidan.(Not Aiden) he is a police officer in Dublin. Actually we say he is in An Garda Siochana. He is a great big gentle hulking brute and works as a SOCO.
(He will end up being called Aidey. Trust me on this.)
Aidan means "Strong in Faith" and is a very popular name in Ireland. I like it. Thumbs up from me. What was the girl's name? Willow? Do you risk confusion between hobbity films and a butter substitute? Just a thought.... I like Grace. I like names that fit a person from babyhood to old age.
You can date people by their names. Number 1 son went to school with two girls called Fallon and Crystal. Hmm I wonder what their Mums were watching on the telly in the 80s???
I am from an earlier generation. All the girls I knew were Lindas, Julies and Christines. In Ireland they were all Geraldines, Caitlins, Bernies and Theresas.
What goes around comes around, I advise you not to make the choices Frank Zappa did...............................0 -

Yes but you have Matt to console you; life isn't all that bad and it will get better...0 -

I went to school through the early nineties when 60% of the lads in our year shared the names Richard, Steven, Paul, Andrew, or Matthew.
I read a couple of years ago that with my name, if I went through school now, I would probably never come across anybody sharing it!0 -
Sean my name thus SeanyBoy.. (everyone call me that)0
-
You don't wanna know, believe me, you don't wanna know:blushing:0

Does it involve getting overexcited at a football match?
Running onto the pitch?
And slapping Joe Cole?
Please say yes! :thumbup:0 -
Mine is an abbreviation of by surname which was my nickname at school and the year I was born (Bit boring but easy to remember).
On kids names I have 4 kids and on each occassion I have tried to sneak in a Liverpool player as the middle name. Unfortunatly the wife drew the line at Rigobert. Pushed hard on the fourth for Louis as in Louis Garcia but again she had none of it espcially as we had our first Little Girl called Mia Angel.0 -
At school I was known as Genghis as in Genghis Carne :001_unsure:0

Awww sweet
Do you not want to know what your having tho?
I do but my other half doesn't so I gave in I was hoping it would be obvious on the scan but the bugger had his/her legs above his/her head :001_tongue:
I really don't care what we're having though as long as he/she is OK
BTW I will be taking bets in about 15 weeks time :001_tongue:0 -
The best one for me was my dad's sence of humour when naming my brothers
1 Peter (saint George)
2 John (saint John)
4 David (stewart - ok Normalish)
5 Steven (robin - Girlie Name)0 -

I don't want to bet on the kids gender, I want a poll on the kids name!
Start a - legally binding - poll of what the forum thinks you should call your kid:
Maat - 'cos you'll be a member of the AAT by then⦠:001_smile:
Elmer - in honour of the alleged father
Any other suggestions of names which should put up for voting?0 -

I wonder how many little girls born this year will be called Jade?
(That's my offering)0 -
I have loved the name Jade since I was a little girl and saw the film "Endless Love". The lead female character aged 15 played by Brooke Shields was called Jade.
There is more to good parenting than choosing a childs' name!!0 -
That's for sure. A resounding beating for one thing. Ask Matt.0
-
Oh yes, I make you right Dad. I ate through a straw for the first 5 years of my life and it done me a world of good....0
-
Made you the man you are today.0

Please say yes!
I wish it did, though I'd probably make a beeline for Ashley Cole first
There is an element of lack of clothing in there but the J comes from school where one of my mates thought I had a Phil Jupitus quality about me :huh:0
