It's Monday morning, cold, raining and blowing a gale and my shoulder's hurting again, I didn't sleep well and the painkillers are fogging my brain (well making it more foggy than normal). Trying to figure out if I can afford the time to write the day off and just to go back to bed. It'd be nice to have one of those jobs where you can take a sickie and still get paid.
Hope you're feeling a bit better CJC :001_smile:0 -
Happy Birthday Tracy :thumbup:0

I thought ECR was fine and didn't find PCR too bad but I'm in total agreement about PEV. I'm convinced I only passed because it was a very straightforward paper that year (June 2006).0
-
I was really confident about PEV and then touch and go after the exam.
Was dreading PCR and was certain i'd failed it after.........but passed both!
It may not be as bad as it seems!0 -
you think you have it bad am even trying to find the definition of an earing ratio lmao - wow am in trouble0

Not looking forward to DFS at all. Got home tonight from Mock exam. The only balance sheet that would balance was question one and I still got all my journals the wrong way round. My consolidated balance sheet did not balance - why? Cash flow forecast was a bit of a blank and IFRSs well, what are they???
I think I am going to curl up into a ball under my duvet and cry for the next eight hours.0 -
I got through the first hour or so of DFS with a balance sheet that didn't balance, a cashflow statement that didn't reconcile, not really remembering how to do a consolidated income statement, unsure about the standards definitions and a feeling of doom and despair. Curling up and crying wasn't really an option so I took a deep breath, went back and found the mistakes in the B/S and cashflow statement, did the income statement as best I could and pretty much winged it on the standards defs.
I must have done something right as I passed0 -
i loved pcr and pev but dfs is my stumbling block. for love nor money can i get it. i think i need another 6 months revision, so am gonna defer till next june and do dfs and a tax exam together.
but hey on the bright side, xmas and skiing soon

But if youve already paid for it why not have a go?0 -
cos it is a 45 minute drive there and back and i am defo not ready for it, i have not even finished reading the book, let alone start on past papers.0
-
Right, now that I have emerged from my duvet and used up all the tissues I am going to start with the consolidated balance sheet and then work on cash flows. I am off to the internet cafe to print out more past exam papers and treat myself to a melted cheese and fried onion toasted sandwich.....just think of all those calories.
BTW - has anyone noticed there is a competition on the Monster website to win a trip to Lapland?0 -
Don't do what I did which is to learn the consolidated balance sheet inside out only to have them ask for a consolidated income statement.
Cheese and fried onion toastie sounds yummy.0
