Don't do what I did which is to learn the consolidated balance sheet inside out only to have them ask for a consolidated income statement.
Cheese and fried onion toastie sounds yummy.
A quicky am kinda ok with Consolidated income apart from bottom equity bit what happens with non-controlling interest and parent bit on it?0 -
Alright then why in the answer ti the CSoI does it have on the bottom:
Atributabe to:
Equity holders of the parent xx
Minority interst xx
Getting them all right except for unrealised profit - keep missing it, and the equity thing, should this laways be on bottwm of CSoI?

Looks like you just show value of their interest in the profit ie parent 80% and sub 20% just that I didn't realise it should be included
NO no no, thats rubbish sorry Vicky, subsidiaries amount should be their holding in their profit
IE
parent holds 80% of subsidiary
Subsidiaries profit after tax £1000
Consolidated Profit after tax £5000
Equity bit at bottom consolidated statement would be:
Equity holders of parent £4750
NC Interest £2500 -
