Did ECR in Crawley today. Went ok but a couple of questions threw me.
What the heck was that question on bonuses? I worked out that 5,400,000 units were produced against the expected of 4,000,000.
The bonus was 25% x 1,400,000
4,000,000
so I got 25% x 0.35 = 0.0875
Anyone get anything different?
Also I managed to get the same NPV on both Vans both of which were negative.

hey, ur figures for the bonus question look slightly familiar but the Net present question was on Cost it was NPC not value. x0
-
Dont you work out NPC the same. It was still discounted costs? I worked out years 1,2 and 3 and subtracted year 0. It was a negative both times.0
-
I got the bonus answer the same as yours. My NPV wasn't negative, I didn't have a clue what I was doing though on that question(or any of the others to be honest!)0

Hi Keith,
I was in Crawley too! sigh what an exam sigh...soo confusing.. I think we have the same answers on bonus 8.75% and £0.875 is it 5000 hours? cant even remember that part. I will revising FRA later grrr0 -
yeah think i had same on bonus question, and both vans were -41 if you worked it out one way and the second van had positive worked out another way depending on how you dealt with disposal. i went with the second way, wrongly i thing..0
-
trying to remember back ... hmm i think my first one was a negative net present cost and the second was a positive figure, and yeah u add all the years and take away from year 0. x0
-
As for the total wages i just did 44 hours x 9.60 and then added 8.75% of whatever that total is. Thats the only thing I could think off.0
-
do you get marks for putting your name in correctly? cuz i may have 1% if so.0

What desk number were you in Crawley? I was right at the front. I have done three exams now, one in Eastleigh, one in Eastbourne and one in Crawley. They are getting closer to my home. Maybe the next one will be in Hassocks. LOL.0 -

i think i got the same as you on the bonus question, but on the Vans on ei got a possitive for both, and Van 1 have a better NPV. not sure if thats right though0 -
yeah that wages question got me thinking, and because it was a continued question i assumed that you add the 8.75% otherwise i probably wouldnt have added that on ... argh i dont know!0
-
Hi Catherine, I got positive figures for both vans too with the first one being the better option....hope its right, looking on here we're in the minority..!0

I worked out the NPC the same as the NPV, I do not know if that was correct. On my BPP book, there is a slightly similar format as the AAT shown as an alternative format but no disposal value though.
The format is (ref: BPP book)
yr0 yr1 yr2 yr3
Investment (xx)
Cost Savings xx xx xx
PV factors
Discounted cash flows
NPV
No revenue hence I thought might be the same.0 -

i think i got £4375 for the total group bonus and then i added the bonus onto the next question too. god, looking at everybody's answers i think i did poo0
-
sounds familiar to mine, i used a percentage of 8.75% to work our bonus amount, then added that to the persons actual hours in next question getting something like 4375.000

I got this answer too yay
4375 total group bonus
4375/5000 = 0.875 per hour
44 hours at 0.875 = 38.50 for the individuals bonus payment0 -
