ECR Today

Did ECR in Crawley today. Went ok but a couple of questions threw me.

What the heck was that question on bonuses? I worked out that 5,400,000 units were produced against the expected of 4,000,000.
The bonus was 25% x 1,400,000
4,000,000

so I got 25% x 0.35 = 0.0875

Anyone get anything different?
Also I managed to get the same NPV on both Vans both of which were negative.

Dont you work out NPC the same. It was still discounted costs? I worked out years 1,2 and 3 and subtracted year 0. It was a negative both times.

I got the bonus answer the same as yours. My NPV wasn't negative, I didn't have a clue what I was doing though on that question(or any of the others to be honest!)

yeah think i had same on bonus question, and both vans were -41 if you worked it out one way and the second van had positive worked out another way depending on how you dealt with disposal. i went with the second way, wrongly i thing..

As for the total wages i just did 44 hours x 9.60 and then added 8.75% of whatever that total is. Thats the only thing I could think off.

    Hi pinoyLiz,
What desk number were you in Crawley? I was right at the front. I have done three exams now, one in Eastleigh, one in Eastbourne and one in Crawley. They are getting closer to my home. Maybe the next one will be in Hassocks. LOL.

I worked out the NPC the same as the NPV, I do not know if that was correct. On my BPP book, there is a slightly similar format as the AAT shown as an alternative format but no disposal value though.

The format is (ref: BPP book)

    yr0 yr1 yr2 yr3
    Investment (xx)
    Cost Savings xx xx xx
    PV factors
    Discounted cash flows
    NPV

No revenue hence I thought might be the same.

That is the weird thing. The AAT identify people on student membership number alone. A bit risky.

sounds familiar to mine, i used a percentage of 8.75% to work our bonus amount, then added that to the persons actual hours in next question getting something like 4375.00

I got this answer too yay

    4375 total group bonus

    4375/5000 = 0.875 per hour

44 hours at 0.875 = 38.50 for the individuals bonus payment
