    It's grey here, but the birds are singing/making a racket - the rain later should put pay to that!

    Sorry - didn't mean to.

    But it has rained ..... and the birds did stop singing (Fact)! I live in the countryside and would like to think I understand it a little bit.

    Anyway, it has stopped raining now and the birds are happily singing again.

    Also, I've just arranged for a bouquet of flowers for my lovely friend today - which is a nice thing? Sadly it's because tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of her 30 year old son dying from cancer.

    So it's one of those up and down days; something good -v - something bad!

    Oh no that is so sad for your friend and lovely for you to do that. Its little touches like that that make people feel a little better on a terrible day.

    I live in the Countryside too and was hanging out the washing last week and heard the birds and saw the Snowdrops coming through and thought how nice it was as the cold wet winter seems to have gone on for a very long time.
