Tax Credits and Capital Gains

I have been trying to find some information on whether capital gains income is included in a working/child tax calculation. I am sure I have read somewhere that capital gains is not classed as income for the benefit of tax credits. Any comments welcome?

    I am pretty sure that capital gains are excluded from Tax Credits

    Capital gains aren't included. Can't quote chapter and verse but am pretty sure on this one.
