I have to say that don't think there is a big gap between 30 and 40 in terms of concentration - energy maybe (and waking up with aches and pains in the morning - but then at 41 I've got one new hip and arthritis in the other owing to 'wrong shaped' femurs).

BUT I don't think my concentration has gone!!!!!

Easily distracted and requiring regular coffee/loo breaks is another matter entirely
I probably misquoted him. He definitely said energy at least... Lord knows I lack enough of that already. *sigh* I have the concentration span of a gnat....!

Sorry to hear you've got those problems so young. Been having a chat with a friend about clinical depression (which we both suffer from) and just saying you have to get on with the hand you're dealt (doesn't stop it sucking at times though!!)

I also think that internet doesn't help concentration either ..... forums and fb particularly

David's 9 years older than I am and he said "There's a big gap between 30 and 40 in terms of enegry and concentration."

I realised that if I didn't do it now, I probably never would do it.

I see what you are saying and I do think sometimes 'Will there ever be a right time to do it?'.

Time's a little more on my side as I'm a fair way off 30 yet. That could be a good plan though to get it done by the time I'm 30.

God you two are old before your time! lol

I'm a fair way off 30 also Ian, unforntunately the other side but I'm still studying and enjoying it, well most of the time. My pack has arrived from Tolleys for paper 3, I've had a read through and can't wait to start.

Some of my relatives are saying 'haven't you had enough of studying?' I just tell them I have to do CPD in order to get and keep an MIP licence, so while I'm still enjoying it I may as well get myself another qualification at the same time.

Nah, not old, just realistic in light of what I know about me ;)

What's right for one isn't necessarily right to another, I'm only commenting on myself. Certainly just looking in the next 5 years or so, I need to move my butt and do it now, rather than wait!

I know someone who's 71 and just enrolled on AAT technician level. Good for her!

I sent in my ATT registration form a while ago but didn't hear anything 1 week before the end of October so I called them and they said they had received it and are processing it but I still haven't heard anything and they still haven't banked the cheque. Has this happened to any of you? I imagine they'll now say I've missed the deadline to sit exams in May :(

When i sent my registration form in i remember it taking a while for them to process it which annoyed me slightly because tolleys required my registration number in order to register with them for study materials so it delayed my start.

I imagine you will be fine with the deadline because they have acknowledged receipt of the form and i think there is a bit of leeway with the dates because my boss forgot to post my exam registration form off on time but contacted them and i was still able to sit the exam.

I am currently studying ATT after AAT, I sent the form to ATT in September, they responded me within two weeks, I was very pleased and enrolled with Tolley Training. I am going to take paper1 & 7 in May 2011. I have to say ATT is very advanced, I am looking for study buddy to exchanging ideas and experiences.
    Many thanks.
