National Driver Offender Retraining Schemes

Company director, instead of receiving a fine and points for a driving offence opted for a National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme. Would you say the cost of this is disallowable? The fine would have been and it's not wholly and exclusively for the prupose of the trade.

Just wanted to check what anyone else's opinion was as this client thinks I'm mean when it comes to allowing certain types of expenditure.

I can't see how this would be allowable.

Even if he was on company business while speeding/offending, he can't claim tax relief for breaking the law.
