Tax Relief on Award Ceremony
If 5 staff and 5 Clients attend an Industry Award evening what is the best way to treat this for tax purposes?
Can it be considered as networking/marketing or does it have to split 50/50 and if so is this between client and staff entertaining. Also, if the latter can 50% of the VAT be claimed?

Networking
I treat as a networking and PR exercise. So no BIK, fully allowable and can claim vat.0 -
Many Thanks for your help, would this be the same if it was all staff and therefore not a PR exercise?0

Yes, it is still networking as you would be meeting others from the same industry. You may well have chance to do the business others from the same industry!0
