VAT and Non-EU Embassies based in UK
G'Morning you beautiful lot,
Would anyone know anything about charging VAT on UK based services to a UK based non-EU Embassey?
Naturally the embassey are arguing they are exempt from local taxes, but I disagree. I have seen that construction work on an embassey would be classed as UK for VAT purposes, but my company supplied a hire vehicle to them and recovered the charges from the negligent insurer.
Any thoughts, I'd be interested to know the VAT rules around Embassies!
Thank you!
