How long will it take to complete the AAT Accounting Qualification?

It will typically take you six to twelve months to finish studying each level of the AAT Accountancy Qualification.

This varies depending on how you study (for example, part-time or distance learning) and who you study with. Some AAT training providers offer a ‘fast-track’ route by combining Levels 2 and 3 in one year, and then a final year for Level 4.

If you have any exemptions from individual modules or levels, then you’ll be able to complete your training faster. To find out which level is best for you to start at, we'd recommend taking AAT Skillcheck.
