Wherever you’re based and however much time you can devote to training, AAT can offer a location and type of course to suit your needs. We work with further education colleges and private training providers to offer a range of study options.

AAT students typically tend to choose one of the following options.
  • Classroom study: you follow a structured schedule of classroom lectures conducted by a tutor.
  • Distance learning: you study from home, working through a set of materials and resources produced by a training provider. Many distance learning training providers also offer the support of tutors, whether over email, phone or online video conferencing (e.g. Skype).
  • Correspondence/online courses: you study through materials that are posted out to you; or online via an online classroom environment (which allows you to interact with a tutor) or by viewing a set of pre-recorded online lectures.
  • Books-only: you study independently and then sit exams as an external candidate. However, you must complete your project module through a training provider if you choose this option.
Search for an AAT training provider on our website.

Many training providers hold open days where you can speak to staff and learn more their courses. Search for open days at AAT training providers now.
