If you're looking for an AAT modern apprenticeship in Scotland, the first place you should look is My World of Work, which is a site run by Skills Development Scotland.
My World of Work lists apprenticeships throughout Scotland, and if you sign up you can apply for suitable vacancies through the site. It also offers a range of useful articles to help you through the challenges so often faced by people looking for work. It even has a dedicated section with lots of information on modern apprenticeships.
While this is the best place to start, you might also want to get in touch with local AAT training providers. They may have links with local businesses and employers – so take advantage of their knowledge and connections. Go to AAT training provider open days and speak to tutors, or the specific apprenticeship advisors many colleges now have, to find out what apprenticeship opportunities there are near you.
Alternatively, you can cut out the middle man, and go straight to the employers themselves. Look on job sites like Monster http://www.monster.co.uk/, Reed http://www.reed.co.uk/and TotalJobs http://www.totaljobs.com/ and search for entry-level or apprenticeship vacancies. In many ways, employers appreciate candidates who are pro-active and go the extra mile.
