Foreign VAT Help

Hi

Can anyone give me their thoughts about reclaiming foreign VAT? I have a little bit of idea but I want your opinions please.

Business expenses like Hotel Accommodations to attend exhibitions in South Africa, the invoice includes 14% VAT, can the business reclaim this 14% VAT as input VAT here in UK?

But EU VAT can be reclaimed subject to meeting the countries minimum claim.
