Job Description
The right candidate for the role must have the following qualities:
•Good organisation skills with an excellent eye for detail and accuracy
•Must be reliable self-starter used to working autonomously and within a team
•Teamwork plus also able to work as part of a small friendly Finance team
•Good customer service orientation
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent IT skills (e.g. proficient usage of Excel, Word etc)
•Book keeping skills
•Sound knowledge of Sage 50 or Sage 200 (advantage if you have the knowledge or experience on these Accounting software packages)
•Good time management
•Well organised
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
•Sales Invoices processing on a daily, weekly and monthly cycle
•Ensure sales invoices checks are completed prior to posting to ledgers
•Working with the Finance Executive to ensure the billing is accurate and timely.
•Dealing with Member Firms queries
•Handling and resolving sales ledger queries
•Support on Credit control
•Posting member firm payments by recording cheques, bacs and credit card transactions
Accounts Payable
•Matching and coding invoices
•Reconciling supplier statements
•Dealing with purchasing enquiries
•Matching Purchase Orders with supplier invoices and Delivery note
•Entering invoices to computer purchase ledger system (to be advised)
Petty Cash
Update employee holiday and sickness absence records
Assist with employee and member firm expense reports
Perform filing and general administrative tasks
Provide assistance in the annual International Accounting Bulletins and Professional Indemnity surveys
Other ad hoc duties as required such as answering calls, filing, going to the bank or post office etc.
Purchase Order - Generate PO number, maintain PO system, month end reconciliation of open and close POs.
Job Type: Contract Salary: £14,000 - £20,000 (Pro-rata - depending on experience)
Job Type: 6 month Contract
Candidate must be able to work in this position without any working restrictions
