Job Description
Lead, perform and control audit assignments including audit planning programming, conduct and control of audit work and reporting findings to executive management, management forums, Risk & Audit Committees and the board of directors
Manage the internal audit team to ensure the audit programme is carried out to the requirements of the business (Quality, Information Security, HSE Management System Standards, Visa©, MasterCard, FCA etc.)
Develop and implement internal auditing policies, procedures and initiatives
Advise the audit team on the formulation and review of audit plans
Lead and perform the internal audits of the organisation's FCA regulated activities
Ensure effective coordination, communication and coverage of relevant issues and liaise with colleagues regarding audits in their areas of responsibility
Monitor changes in legislation and accreditation standards and ensure they are captured in the company audit programme
The Successful Applicant
A-level education or equivalent
Qualified CIA, ACA, Or ACCA- or equivalent experience
IRCA Certified Lead auditing qualification in Information Security (ISO 27001) or Quality (ISO 9001) or equivalent
Experience in leading or managing audit teams
A knowledge of legal & regulatory compliance within a financial services environment
A self-assured character demonstrating spark and dynamism
A strong candidate with the ability to be authoritative in front of a variety of external stakeholders
Ability to support, challenge and influence peers, senior stakeholders and present to the board
Ability to develop a presence and reputation within the wider business
Experience in FCA regulated activities
