I don't think there is an annual fee. My student registration expires in 2021. I have done business tax and personal tax. I want to do business compliance in May 2017 and then law and ethics in August and December. I also work full time. I want to start CTA in 2018. I also did 1 exam per sitting in May 2016 and November 2016.0

Hi Talavera, have you booked an exam for May 2017? Make sure you book before the 28/02/2017 deadline. It is better to try and do an exam and fail, rather than not do an exam. What exam are you going to sit in May 2017?0

I'd disagree that it is better to do an exam and fail than not do an exam. If you aren't ready for an exam then don't attempt it. It will just add extra stress to an already stressful situation. I would suggest waiting until the next sitting if you aren't completely ready for the exam. It is a long wait for the results, to then be presented with a fail, and it isn't nice.

I would like to do ATT and am currently reading a tax course from on line and really enjoying it. I am grammar school educated, experienced in house company accountant and have acted for sole traders .I am a young 68 and love studying. How long is the ATT COURSE and can I get the structured course materials. In a month I have done 12 chapters. Am enjoying the Capital Gains chapters.0

If you take it at a leisurely pace I would say around 2 years, i.e. 1 exams every 6 months (for 18 months) and then 2 computer based exams in the last 6 months.
Yes, you can get structured materials from Tolley.
Have you done the law exam?
I just need to do law and ethics computer based exams and then I'm finished.1 -
