This is a high profile role which offers a unique opportunity for an outstanding finance professional to join an innovative and entrepreneurial company, still at the beginnings of their growth journey. As such, this is a key appointment for eTech, and will provide invaluable support to the senior management team, as well as leading the internal control environment.
Job Description
Working as the Financial Controller, your key remit will be to manage the financial accounting, control and financial compliance aspects of the eTech business. This will include complete financial control and month-end reporting, as well as cash management, VAT and Corporation Tax processes and overview of the annual statutory audit.
You will manage a team of three high performing finance clerks, and work with them to ensure the Accounts Payable and Credit Control functions are operating in a timely and effective manner.
The Successful Applicant
For the role of Financial Controller, my client is looking for;
A recognised accountancy qualified, either ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Strong technical accounting experience, including strong financial accounting knowledge ideally gained within an SME environment
Intellectual curiosity, with a track record of assessing and implementing financial systems and processes
An understanding of working in an entrepreneurial environment, and the challenges that can bring to cash and financial control.
Confidence in challenging both internal and external stakeholders in a professional and credible manner
Experience of managing a clerical finance team, including Accounts Payable, Credit Control and Payroll
An energetic and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to get involved with all aspects of the business when required
A good sense of humour and a desire to enjoy work is essential
What's on Offer
Circa £55,000 - £60,000 plus package.
