Job Description
Key aspects of the role -
Working with the business to ensure the information produced by business partnering is fit for purpose, easy to access and understand, enabling you to deliver high quality monthly management accounts for budget holders and directors that helps them do their jobs effectively and drives ever improving financial-management
Producing reports that will help budget holders to understand the key issues, risks and opportunities facing them, aiding informed decision making
Implementing the annual budget setting process, using zero based budgeting principles, using your skills and experience to bring it to life for your budget holders; knowing when to encourage, instruct or push back
Responsible for influencing financial performance, driving improvement and providing a service progressed by great relationships that reflect the vision of being a first class finance team
Acting as a central source of expertise and operational advice, you will ensure that you have the appropriate knowledge to understand the bigger picture and how the areas you are responsible impact on and are impacted by other teams
Successful Applicant
You will be a qualified accountant with strong management reporting and business partnering capabilities that can be evidenced through experience. Building rapport with colleagues across the business at all levels is essential, as is the ability to manipulate and present complex financial information to non-finance colleagues. Applications from all sectors are welcomed but experience working within a commercially driven environment would be extremely beneficial.
