Job Description

Reporting to the Supply Chain & Commercial Finance Controller you will work in partnership with the Retail Sales and Marketing teams to go beyond the numbers and add true value by effectively communicating your commercial understanding, analysis and insight. It is critical to the success of this role that you possess an ability to cultivate strong relationships.

You will also be responsible for the Commercial Finance Team and provide key business support to manage and control risk. The successful candidate will be expected to provide detailed ad hoc analysis and rigorous financial assessment of investments made to ensure McCain continues to maximise returns and continues to maintain their position as market leaders in the industry.

To manage the Commercial Finance Team the candidate must ensure that the team meets financial and auditory requirements, minimises customer audit claims and that unsettled claims are kept to a minimum. It will be the candidate's responsibility to motivate and encourage their team and ensure they are meeting the company's working capital targets.

McCain are looking for a candidate to have these essential capabilities:



Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Several years commercial accountancy experience
Ability to work effectively with internal customers and stakeholders, business partnering with them from a finance perspective
Highly competent on Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to negotiate and influence and manage difficult conversations
Ideally have experience of working within a commercial function in an FMCG business
Ideally have experience of leading and managing a small team
