We are a small, busy private practice in the Amersham area with a varied client base.
We are currently looking for someone to join our team on a part time basis (3 days a week, 9 - 5 with an hour for lunch).
The role will involve;
Responsibility for running a number of small payrolls
Writing up of client records into a format from which accounts can be prepared
Preparation of accounts (sole trader, partnership and limited company) from client records (excel/manual/computer packages) using an extended trial balance and spreadsheets
Input of accounting data into computer package (CCH)
There is scope for the role to grow depending on the right candidate
To be considered you must;
Be studying/have studied accounting, including the accounts preparation and book keeping aspects
Have reasonable computer skills particularly with excel
Have experience of basic payroll proceedures and monthly reporting requirements and PAYE, a familiarity with CIS and Sage or Brightpay would be an advantage
Be able to follow instructions while being able to learn from experience and apply what has been learnt
Have a high standard of accuracy in the work you do
Be able to plan your time so that work deadlines are met
A good standard of written and spoken English is required to enable clear communication with clients when required.
The successful applicant will receive;
Salary of £19,000 pro rata
Holiday of 13 days (4 weeks pro rata)
Free parking
Feedback and training to improve your accounting skills
The opportunity to develop the role as you gain experience
