Job description
Due to growth we have the following full time position available at our Harefield office.
Qualified Accountant with at least 1 year practice background
This is a key role, so ‘team fit’ is an important part of our selection.
Candidates should have the following attributes / skills:
Preparing corporation tax return
Preparing personal tax return
Preparing VAT returns
Monthly and weekly payroll processing and submission to HMRC
Communicating and corresponding with clients
Communicating with HMRC
Assisting in the billing of clients
Other ad hoc duties in line with the role
We also require the following qualities and skills:
Excellent organisational skills
The ability to work independently and be able to take responsibility for own work
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to work calmly under pressure and be able to prioritise own time
Excellent knowledge of income tax, VAT and employment taxes and benefits and corporation tax
Knowledge of PAYE and pension regulations.
We would also expect the suitable candidate to have a good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word packages. It would be desirable for the candidate to have knowledge/experience of Sage 50, CCH, Quick book, AP accounting software as well as Forbs tax software, although training will be provided where necessary.
