Finding Work Experience- Any Tips?

Hi all,

I'm new to the forums so please don't bite my head off if I get things wrong!

At present, I'm studying for my L2 cert in accounting part time whilst completing a law degree in the evenings. (It's not as bad as you'd think!)

I'm trying to find work experience in finance/accounting but I feel that I've hit a brick wall. I don't have any related experience as most of mine have either been legal or project delivery internships.

At the moment I'm helping my girlfriend run her business and have started to take on some of the bookkeeping to keep myself fresh while I go through the AAT L2.

Does anyone have any advice that I could use as a starting point?
