Hi guys ,
It's April the 1st so time to prepare and roll over to the new financial year .
I'm brainstorming ideas this week of what I want to achieve in the next year .
1. I'd like to double my client base
2. I'd like to hire a part time member of staff
3. I'd like to reduce my software subscriptions and whittle out the software that can't do MTD etc (too many softwares )
4. I'd like to get my online blogging to at least one a week , focusing on telling stories and how each issue / problem was over come (clients and practice )
5. I'd like to network more , and meet more MIPS
What would you like to do this year ?
So looking forward to the annual conference ❤️

I thought you had disappeared!
6. Get an extra qualification - ATT / CTA
7. Get Xero Accreditation and learn how to use their various app's
8. Think about how to provide and charge for consultancy/advisory services (rather than compliance)
9. Develop a specialist niche, e.g. property tax or R&D tax credit relief
10. Improve my tax planning ideas, e.g. A shares, B shares, use of home rental agreements, R&D tax credit relief, creating SEIS companies, etc.

11. Actually doing 1 - 10 rather than just being lazy and saying I will do it0

I've got lots I am achieving this year.
1 - Increasing turnover by £40k minimum
2 - Taking on our two AAT trainees permanently or doing further study
3 - Moving 90% of our clients onto Xero
4 - Moving 75% of clients onto our new packages (increased fees but better management)
5 - Be far more organised and productive (aim for average of 42 accounts/tax returns per month) and less work in December and January.
I've been working with a business coach since September and he has helped massively. I've started my targets from February. Our workload tends to run to 31 January so it made sense. We have done 11% of our anticipated work but all of this has been Ltd Co's so it's actually more. It took until mid May to get that far last year.
In terms of new clients we need another £780 per month of income signed up by the end of April to be on target. Sounds a lot but we did £837 last month but lost a few clients (not everyone is keen on our new way of working which we expected anyway)Regards,
