Two limited companies under one trading name?

Hi there, I have a question. I have a potential new client and at the moment there are 2 of them (both psychologists) trading under one business name and both are sole traders. They both have different earnings as 1 is full time and 1 only part time. They are considering setting up limited companies but would not want to go into this together they would prefer to have their own companies but they still want to both trade under the same name. Sorry if a daft question but can 2 limited companies both trade under 1 name? Any advice gratefully received! Many thanks

You can have 2 ltd companies take part in a joint venture so i don't see why not but unsure of the legal requirements and tax implication of doing this but might be something to research further.
