Vat on invoice to a French company for a machine that will never leave the UK

French company wants to buy a machine from a company I work for and supply it to a customer in the UK.
It will never leave the UK so I will not have a proof of export for HMRC.
Am I right not to charge Vat? Or should I? Many thanks

    I just spoke to HMRC and I do need to charge VAT as it's not leaving the UK.
