Hello there,
I am helping a friend start his accounts in QuickBooks. With regards to start up costs I am unsure as to just include in expenditure or should I have a separate nominal code for start up costs? There is a small amount of capital expenditure, however not sure at what seems a realistic minimum level to capitalise?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated

If it is a one off item then a separate nominal code would be appropriate.
I would never bother capitalising under £100, and £250 may be a more appropriate amount.0
