Alternatives to Youtube

Hi folks

I like listening to music on my mobile phone while going out for long walks.

I had a lot of trouble using Youtube which usually cut off after I put the phone on lock.

I then downloaded Tubify which has also now stopped working.

Can anyone kindly suggest other alternatives?

There are a few options; you can get Spotify, if you purchase premium you can listen to all music while being offline (The phone can be locked aswell).

I personally have YouTube premium which I pay £10.00 a month, this lets me to lock my phone while listening to music, or even use other apps like Facebook while YouTube is playing in background. I am also able to download music/videos etc and watch them without internet connection. If you're on a long trip you can download a lot of videos and watch them offline, this will save your mobile data.

I listen to podcasts while cycling to the gym, and during cardio. These are saved to my windowsphone in advance and play from the default music app while open or locked, and from my headphones controls. On my new android phone I sometimes listen to online radio or music in bed, using Foobar for Android which still plays while locked.
