Non UK nationals, Have you succeeded in finding a job

Hello All,

I am posting this question here to get suggestions from people who could relate to my background. Few details about me.

I have few years of work experience in accounts outside the UK. Left my last job due to family reasons. So I am on a long career break. I have been applying for jobs since last year. Until now, not even once my CV was shortlisted. I joined AAT hoping that I would get a job after finishing the course. I am 42 yrs old. Can anyone relate to my experience and suggest me the next step to find a job.
