Level 3 Business Awareness Written Tasks

Hi all, I have my L3 BUAW exam coming up in a couple of weeks and I wanted to see if anyone had any tips or advice on exam technique for the written tasks. I'm finding these the hardest in the unit so would appreciate any help.

BPP course book says you can use the Point Evidence Explain structure for written tasks - is this the best way to answer them?

Yh probs. Just got my results on the written parts on the pestle got 14/18 (ik I fucked up in two multiple questions at least) 6/10 on task 4 and 10/13 on task 6. Got 80%.

Just read the question
I kinda go like this.

Point. This means that. Therefore,

Eg. That was an obvious penalty yesterday because it was a clear foul. This means that there wasn’t a penalty, therefore MAN u won the game.

Don’t make the answer too long it isn’t an English exam

It is nothing like the practice assessments online on the AAT website. It is way harder and a couple of questions I don’t think we have been taught at all.

The BUAW sample assessment I read previously shows how to outline answers. No waffle just concise sentences. Finding it hard to find the sample assesment now but it's online somewhere.

If you got time there are 11 YT videos. They are super useful and all the stuff is mostly in there and there are practice questions on each one after as well. You gotta watch them unless you have no time.

I saw from a video online that it's recommended to write in short paragraphs e.g. 4-5 lines as apparently it's easier for examiners to read and higher chance of scoring more marks. What's your thoughts on this?

Less than 4-5 lines.

Just try to get 3 sentences done.

And make sure you read over your answer.
Does it make sense and is it answering the question. But for some it may be shorter and some maybe longer. If that makes sense.

Aside from cloud accounting, were there any other topics you found difficult? Just doing some final revision ahead of my exam later this week so any last min pointers would be appreciated

Task 1 17/20 which was descent
Task 2 PESTLE 14/17 fucked up on two multiple choices.
Make sure you are aware what to write for each. Eg health and safety and weather
Task 3 11/17 just kinda fucked that
Task 4 need to know money laundering

My pestle was on a farm. They were hens laying eggs.
Told: T which I put she advertises on one platform. She needs to advertise on more than one platform because what happens if the internet goes wrong.
L I put health and safety and working conditions.
E (which I think I messed up) just write about the weather and what happens if a flood comes about.

I had to compare different cafes. Using the matrix format no tables graphs and bars for me.

The writing is quite easy for me because my English ain’t that bad if you see what I mean.

Need to know money laundering. Not in too much detail.

Demand and supply is pretty easy.

Remember the pestle are the outside external factors that a business cannot control that may influence and impact on their performance either positively or negatively.
