I have been asked whether I can examine my local scout district's accounts. I am not licensed but I would be doing it voluntarily no payment involved. Can I do this?

Based on AAT code of conduct- this would be self interest (using personal gain) to do the accounts for the scouts group even though it is voluntarily. I would advice not to do it.0

How is that self interest? from what been said it a question about someone doing (hopefully) a independent review of there accounts. We need more detail before giving a straight answer but it be worth reviewing charity commission information regarding this.
here the guidance around this

Also i assume it small since a local scout group. it could be breaking the code of conduct if you did get compensated for this. Message me if want more detail. I do the books voluntarily for a exempt CharityRegardsCiaran Andrew Leyland1
