Licence renewal

I am renewing my licence and I am a little confused by your terminology. My business has a turnover (last year) of £14,220. I made a net profit of £10,350. Apparently I can get a fee reduction of £100 if I am "A member earning less than £12,570 net per year, or local currency equivalent, from all work (including salaried and self-employed work)". My other income is from pensions. Does the £12,570 refer to my profit, as I would expect "net income" to be that? I am fairly certain that, in the past, I have paid the full licence fee as it was based on turnover.
