Can't get my head around it! L3 FAPS

Hi all

Currently studying with McArthur Morgan on demand but I can't seem to get along with their videos! I have all the materials printed out and seem to find it easier reading through them myself first, then briefly watching the videos then attempting the questions.

I have put off my remote exam three times not due to not feeling ready, any tips for L3 FAPS exam? So many chapters I can't get my head around it all!

I got 81, but it was very very difficult.

There are YT videos that are very helpful

I cannot give specific areas, but concentrate on the main areas in the chapters.

Is there a reason why you want to do it remotely? I passed AVBK and FAPR on Aq2016 syllabus and I could not have passed without using the blank sheets to do workings

This was the hardest, and two only passed including me.

You need to get around accruals and prepayments. They are really really tricky.

Then go over disposal assets.

Just have a look at the videos; thru are very useful.

If you need help just shout, oh and the partnership accounts are tricky as well.

Whilst on the subject can anyone recommend a decent text book? I’m using First Intution for FAPS although I used them for Tax Processes the material is extremely repetitive for FAPS. By the time you go back and do a quick recap your 100 pages deep for just two chapters out of 17! Has anyone used Kaplan?

Go for BPP.

I used BPP through my level 2 and 3. Anything you are finding difficult. I found the real exam a lot harder than the real one.
