Can anyone tell me what percentage of mypay would be taken as PAYE and what percentage would be taken as NI on a salary of ΓΒ£20,500 ... and also, at what wage point does the PAYE and NI increase? and what to?

For 2006-2007:
Personal allowance: 5,035
Starting Rate: 2,150 @ 10%
Basic Rate: 2,150 - 33,300 @ 22%
You'll also need to take into consideration pension contributions (contributions to company schemes are deducted before PAYE is calculated) and any benefits in kind you might get
And I'm not going to work it out for you
No idea about NI as I'm self-employed and it's calculated differently.
There's a govertment guide here. You might also want to check out my notes for the Personal Tax unit - I'll let you have the url when the server's not down grrrr.
