Re:Study Buddy
Morning all,
Did we really just have three days off??? I know some were still working - poor you!
Well done Nigel, it is nice to give some recognition for the hard workers and for them to actually get something in return bet your tutor felt pretty special
I am still feeling pretty emotional today, my football team got automatic promotion at the weekend and I am still on a high from it.

Re:Study Buddy
I'm fine, thank you Farmer G.
Bit cold down this way - and very grey.
Still, while we have buddies logged on to the forum, the sun will always be shining.
Yep. Took an extra happy pill this morning!

Re:Study Buddy
Probably still make more sense that some of the stuff on here!
:shock:0 -
Re:Study Buddy
It looks like you've got 4 days to learn touch typing then so that we can have daily updates.
Is this corrective laser surgery to enable you to do without glasses?

Re:Study Buddy
Better get practising then!!! Yeah, it's corrective, I wear contact lenses usually but they have been playing me up and potentially damaging my eyesight, I don't have a problem with glasses except I need about 3 pairs in work, I get steamed up in the rain  and I fumble around a lot when I leave them lying around

Now that could be interesting(and fun)
I used to have two pairs for work, now I use vari-focals and have very little problems. I still use my reading glasses for studying, though0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Hi all,
How's everyone doing? It's a cloudy, breezy but fairly mild day down here in Herts.
Or use voice-recognition software, maybe? It looks like you've got 4 days to learn touch typing then so that we can have daily updates.
I always get a little worried that everyone around me seems to need glasses when I don't. Its not an age thing or a family thing but, unless my optician is totally useless, there's nothing wrong with my eyes. Plenty of things wrong with my ears, so maybe that's it?
Anyway, that makes me sound like I'm boasting, so I'll move on to a whinge.
Why is it that suppliers don't understand that BACS payments take two working days and so, since yesterday was not a working day, they will receive payments I sent last Friday tomorrow? I've had to explain it three times and it isn't even eleven o'clock yet.

Re:Study Buddy

Re:Study Buddy
Mine started going when I was 12 and I've worn glasses and then contacts since then.
They've stabilised now, but for a while they just kept getting worse.
Now they're -6 and I wouldn't be able to cross the road without my contacts!
:shock:0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Hey Guys! It has just taken me 20 mins to try and catch up... i gave up on page 426! How you all doing? Did you miss me?

Re:Study BuddyAh! The good old days!
Ah yes, the good old days. I'm going up to York this coming weekend to visit some old friends and return to our former haunts. I doubt we'll be able to attain our old level of drunken havoc though. We never did the Micklegate run, but running up the mound of Cliffords Tower always seemed like a good plan after a night in the Gallery!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
I remember a few of them. Going out and getting the first bus back home in the morning then trying to convince my mum I'd slept on the settee ALL night because I got in late and didn't want to disturb them :?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Then my mum made me get up at half eleven! i ended up walking around Morrisons with my sunglasses on!
