Used to play hockey at Grammer school and in the RAF. Real vicious game, especially when playing against the women. You be a gentleman and hold back, they beat the cr*p out of you. Second half you get your own back

I agree the football pitch scene is very dire, diving, bitching, slapping - but it's the tactics and attacking flair that excites the viewers. It's the crowd that make football what it is, without an atmosphere there is no real emotion in the game. So for that, I think football will forever be the sport of the world.

Rugby, yes, I really like Rugby - but it bores me after a while, there's only so many option a player can take... he isn't allowed to run back into his own half, he isn't allowed to knock it forward - he has to throw the ball backwards, theres no variation - but I do think the brutality is fantastic and if that was allowed in football then it would be unbeatable.

Hockey is the same as the NFL, for jumped up little dweebs who think they're massive but are pumped up in plastic body armour. I would choose Hockey over the NFL because fighting is allowed to carry on to the take down - NFL is utter excremment. Superbowl?.... World Champions?.... they only play themselves... damn yanks :p

I was always the GK in netball, and i was really good at it, although it could have been to do with me being a bit bigger than the other people i used to play against!

I still have mine, when I was 12 I played for North devon, and we had pastel pink skirts with white clingy tops! I was always so glad to put my bib on!

J... you know I said to you about how old I was in those pictures?

    Lol kidding I wasn't 12

I was C in netball for school and for north devon i was ga, i did 100m, 200m and relay in athletics, and cf in hockey

J are you thinking of the right sport? In hockey its onlythe GK who's padded up

Absolutely couldn't agree more. I hate the way some players commit subtle 'crimes' on the field knowing they're still protected by the ref if the other player retaliates. I would have loved to have seen Peter Schmiechel publicly massacre Ian Wright on the pitch after that two footed lunge all those years ago or Dennis Wise literally cut in half by Razor Ruddock.

Small people shouldn't be allowed to play football or else rewrite it in the rules that the nasty little gobshites can legally get a slap once a game when they play wolf but cry sheepdog.

I had six months of driving lessons - one per week - but that did include having to wait three months for my test to come through with lessons in between. I passed first time though, May 1986 in a B reg' Datsun Sunny. I thought it was the dogs at the time...!

Mr Walker was my instructor and taught my dad and sister too though he's got to have been pushing up the daisies for years now...

Hockey players are padded (upper torso) under their jerseys.

Darts is a top sport - proper day out to the pub

I used to do 100m, 200m, 400m, 110m Hurdles and cross country events.

I don't rememeber how many lessons I had, Ipassed 1st time round with 4 minors. I did the PassPlus too cos I'm a little swat
