Re:Study Buddy
8 is nothing to worry about, mine are higher than that 2 hours after eating. It's the 12 week test(HBA1C) that you worry about, as long as that is under 7, there is no problem.
I would have thought that someone your age and weight shouldn't have a problem with Type 11 diabetes and you are a bit old to be diagnosed with Type 1, that is normally picked up in childhood or early teenage.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
My Dad was 38 before they diagnosed him with Type 1 :P
I've just got to keep having regular tests and hope it doesn't go above 8. If it starts going up we have a problem.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
All this talk of food and eating...

Thats 20+ years of being on the road, as a salesman and eating at greasy spoons, 40 years of smoking and too much drinking. Only appeared when I had my heart attack, so, did the diabetes cause the heart attack or did the heart attack cause the diabetes?
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
I put mine down to 20 odd years of drinking, smoking and being a lazy git. I've always eaten pretty healthily though.0 -

Been on phone to Dell again, spoke to half a dozen foreigh call centre workers, 25 minutes later situation still unresolved. They can't find our details even though I have the faulty product in front of me.

Re:Study Buddy
Typical bloke. Gives us a few lines, gets us thinking and then as soon as we act interested, runs a flipping mile.

Re:Study Buddy
Have any of you girlies tried that johnsons holiday skin moisturiser?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
I tried one last year, and only used it once.
Looked like a tea bag wash!
I only wanted a hint of colour and was really careful. But I don't think they're a success.
Saw the end of a programme the other night and Olay came out best - but even that wasn't brilliant.
