Can anyone help me on Spreadsheets ( data validation)

I am using Osborne books and have come to a bit I am stuck on,

I need to format a cell so I can have a drop down box with the months in (Jan, Feb etc)

How do I do it :crying: tried so many different ways, I dont use excel to this level on a daily basis

    Have you done Spreadsheets, or anyone else done it, how long did it take you to study for it?

    Yes, i have completed the Spreadsheets unit. I revised for a week, a few hours a night. I was already an advanced Excel user so I was quite familiar with most of the functions.

    Has anyone tried the learning zone on aat, for example scenario 2, its confusing the hell out of me.
    Trying to vlookup between sheets?? Will I get asked this in the exam, I havent been taught it.

    If it is on the syllabus and indeed on the learning zone, I would suggest that it is examinable and would therefore urge you to practice this function alongside the others which you need to learn.

    Any ideas how you make the lookups go across sheets?
    I did the lookup the pasted it across but its just showing ref!
    I hate this stupid section and due to my exam venue being idiots I am stressing cos I dont have alot of time :(
