Suspense Account question

Hi everyone,
I found the advice given on tackling a question very helpful and I passed the validation test. Moving on post lockdown I am trying to catch-up with the rest of the course tests. Bookkeeping Controls test is next Friday and I am stuck now how to answer another test.
Also, can anyone give some tips to calm test nerves. I sat a different test last week and it was a disaster. I couldn't get answers right and started to panic. Ended up spending too much time on one or two questions and had to rush through others. I did flag one or two to complete at the end. I kept telling myself to get a grip and get on with it but wondered why I was doing this to myself!
thanks very much

I see two parts to your post, so I will try and deal with them separately
The suspense question is not that bad. Remember, the goal we are aiming for is to get rid of our Suspense account balance, by getting both sides of our ledger to equal the same amount.
However, in this question, the journals have already been prepared for you, so all you have to do is enter them into the ledger accounts.
If you've passed Bookkeeping Transactions, you should know that we enter the name of the corresponding account, when doing ledger entries for Double Entry. So in the Office Furniture ledger, you would enter Suspense in the details box when accounting for the journal entries, and in the suspense account you would enter Office Furniture in the details box.
If you've done the entries right, the debit and credit totals in the suspense account should be the same, effectively cancelling out the suspense account balance.
I'm sure loads will have good advice on here about exam nerves, but the key other than good preparation, is just being kind to yourself (i.e good night sleep, healthy meal and either a pre or post exam treat whatever the outcome.) Also, don't put any additional pressure on yourself, AAT exams are tough enough as it is.
