Attitude, or what?

If we are expected to be 'professional' when responding to questions, then surely it behoves those asking questions to be equally diligent. To this end I propose a set of rules the breaching of which may for legitimate grounds for sarcasm or ridicule...
- No asking for answers to simulations or other set work.
- Don't ask questions that have been answered many times before. The forum has a search facility, use it!
- Don't ask questions to which 15 seconds with Google will give you the answer.
- Don't whinge about the unfairness of exams expecting basic numeracy such as knowing the amount of grammes in a kilogramme.
And I'm with blobbyh on this. Arguments and differences of opinions often robustly stated are the salt and savour of forums and while there is no need for personal abuse (indeed there is very little here these days*) there are times when a spade must be called a spade (or so I'm told I have a little man from the town who does my garden).
*Older forumites may recall that in days past there was the occasional borderline psychotic poster to keep us entertained.0 -

i wonder how data input is these days lol0 -
Data Input Officer and Repeaters had nothing on Toadface from three years ago. Jesus, that guy was a total nutjob but I'll admit he did liven things up during his two spells.
And if people think the forums are bad now, I'd say they're a lot more restrained - and less funny - than the old one.0 -
