A-Vic,
I am not a frequent poster on these forums, but I do know that you are possible one of the least offensive people ever to have posted on the internet; I really wouldn't worry about having offended anyone.
With that said, I do agree with the esteemed blobbyh - I am off to my local Co-Op to buy a bag of popcorn and come back to watch the conclusion of this fascinating little drama.....0 -
I think someone said that Glynis only posts at the weekend late at night (but I could be wrong so I hope noone bites my head off for making that comment)0

Who needs Avatar or Orange Wednesdays?!
It is fascinating to read on this particular thread people's experiences of work and their ages, (& its relevance).
blobbyh I completely agree with you regarding time in a workplace.
My manger has been working in the organisation for 30 years, has no formal qualifcation & her own systems which i have now 16 days to get my head around before she disappears at the end of her career (ARGH!). However i have been fortunate that she has acknowleged that I DO have a formal and recent qulification and she does allow me to make certain alterations to work she has done.0 -

Why would you - and Vic - assume that posting contrary posts are going to naturally offend people? What's offensive about your above post?
And it was me that wrote that Jewels, though you hesitated to repost my reason why!0 -
Can individuals please not decide when threads end? Many threads transcend the original post and delve into other lines of discussion, some fruitful, others not so. But if someone who isn't the OP doesn't like the way a thread is going they're of course free to read no further but please don't assume the thread should end just because they don't like it.
Well that post just after i had posted but if not dont worry about it0 -
Don't worry Vic. All threads die natural deaths at some point if the discussion has well and truly run its course by no-one posting anymore but I just dislike it when someone apart from the OP decides when one should forcibly end.
We're not kids either so don't need telling when it's bedtime do we?0 -
Just nipping out to get more popcorn ..... anyone else need more? Or coke (cans not lines)? or ice cream?FMAAT - AAT Licensed Member in Practice - Pewsey, Wiltshire0

Blimey, your 40, not 4.
hahaha well said!!
that's incredibile, what a behaviour...and she also ignore Steve and everyone else's advice, wondering if she will ever change her attitude...0 -

I think I should apologise profucely for this thread. Especially to steve.
Sometimes I become frustrated at the way we are sometimes stopped from acheiving our goals and this goes in the threads.
I apologise sincerly. Steve I hope you can forgive me for the intrusion into your life.0 -
It is quite respectable of you to apologise, I think you've shocked everyone! Nevertheless I'm sure your apology will be appreciated.0
-
what about the rest of us? the other people that helped you but you didn't show any respect?...0
-
I agree with Gem here, I'm sure your apology will be appreciated by everyone and I hope you find a way to reduce the stress a bit more (for no other reason then your own happiness, as that should always be the number one priority of life)!0
