Well done guys!0

I failed F8 I am furious it was such an unfair paper. Trying to get through to the ACCA to complain about it but they won't answer their telephones!0

Calm down! F7 was a an incredibly hard paper aswell, plenty failed, but you get over and try harder for Dec. I'll be sitting F7 (resit) and F8 in Dec0 -

I agree, I failed P1 last time. Does make you come back tougher because you never want that feeling again!0 -
Well done messedup89 and PGM !
Glynis - deep breath and go for the December sitting. Remember you are doing this on your own from books - you have guts and determination, so next time you will be better prepared.
I'm starting my ACCA studies in September. Not sure what paper to start on - thinking the F4 and F5.0 -

For months I've been sure Glynis is not a Glynis afterall but a student having a bit of fun by coming on here and winding everyone up! Every now and again I think no no, they couldn't keep it up for so long, but after that post I'm convinced!!!0 -

Im also starting in Sept & am starting with F4 & F5.
Glynis I agree with everyone i think you need to relax a little... Some of these posts really put me off studying ACCA. I know its going to be hard and a lot of work that i need to put in but I am determined to get some where with it0 -
Vics dont let the rants of an unstable student put you off0

What mark did you get? If you were close to the pass mark you could pay to have it remarked if it's bothering you so much.
You can't have it remarked in the same way as AAT. You can pay and they will add up the marking again but thats it. I thought about it when I failed P1 but it seemed pointless if thats all they do...0 -

Glynis, it would be interesting to know this. If you are missing the 50% mark by a fair way it may be worth packing in ACCA and save yourself the stress. Maybe consider something that would complement AAT, like a business degree etc?0 -
I got 37 marks. I spoke to theACCa this morning who just said I can appeal. They're not helpful at all but I refuse to pay them anymore money to be told again I have failed.
I am gutted0 -

Glynis, I'm sorry to hear you didn't pass.
Picking up on another similar thread, nobody is saying "You're too old to do ACCA". What a lot of people have said is this might be a good point to sit and reflect on whether it's worth continuing with it, weighing up the pros and cons of how long it might take, and the financial and health costs associated with it (stress can have very serious health consequences) versus how much it will help your career going forwards. The job market is so tough at the moment and it's debatable whether getting a chartered qualification will help that much in terms of boosting your attractability to employers.
I admire your tenacity in trying to get this qualification and better yourself, but if it was me, I think I would honestly consider leaving it at this point (but then, I have health problems and that would be realistic for me - only you can know yourself).0 -
Congratulations on all of those passes - especially to PGM, what an acheivement. How are you celebrating?0

Ah thankyou very much!
Not sure how to celebrate, maybe sleep! I was dreaming about exam results last night, then woke up and remembered I was waiting for them. So didn't get the best night sleep. Still, may get out for a meal and some wine.0 -
Congratulations on the passes and sorry to hear about the fails, but there is December for a new chance.
Glad to see most are so upbeat about it!
Glynis, sorry to hear you failed, even though you expected it, you still seem to be very taken by it. Hope you step over this feeling soon and have more luck with whatever you decide to do next!0 -

Why, how many marks do you need to pass?0 -

mini_schnauzer wrote: »50%
It sounds easy 50%, half the paper, but its not at all0 -
So 37 marks it's basically 37% of the whole paper, right?0
