if you only loose a mark for the wrong answer then it should not be too bad!! I did not see a question on limiting factors....i got just under 2 years 2 months for the payback....under absorbed by 22000...debit side right?? Indirect Labout costs I said could be put into overheads if customers request??? I used semi variable and stepped for the graphs. I felt happy when entering this exam...and came out mind boggled!!

Where did everyone put there under absorption?

I put absorbed and under absorbed on the debit side, and actual on the credit side - really confused though :001_unsure:

Varible costs are direct costs (raise with output) semi varible are indirect costs (like phones calls)

Oh c***, I definitely got the absorption rate question wrong yet. Took the variable element of the semi-variable cost out before calculating the rates.:crying:

i got 2.13 years (we were told we can leave it as that...)

i did 25/200 which was 0.125 plus 2 years so made it 2.13 years

I think it's divided by forecasted sales rather than BE. Someone has also posted on here something about pennies for this question too, arghh!

i was so confused with the loss question but the total cost on the right should have matched that on the left so i played around with the figures til it added up!! 73960 or there abouts (cant remember exactly)

I put down an over absorption too - budgeted machine hours were higher than the actual, weren't they?

Supposed to times it by 12 aren't you?

    25/200 * 12 = 1.5 months & the 2 years = 2 years & 1.5 months, which i rounded to 2 years 2 months?

Wow it wasn't what I expected. I was so confident with the past papers but this was a bit different!

I put FIFO, then LIFO then thought FIFO but left it argghhh!
I got payback at 1.7 something.

And for the graphs I put variable and step fixed. So messed half of that up.

But think I got the BE all right and the margin of safety.

That's exactly what I put (except I left it at 2 years 1 1/2 months)
