I was past my prime yonks ago Jan and since I have a fiancee ten years younger than myself, I now feel about as fit as Stephen Hawking after a night on the piss.0

Not a single post in nearly a month on this thread.
If things don't improve, I'll be tempted to go back into the Scottish section and liven things up a bit over there. Lord knows, they need it.0 -

This was too good not to pass on, it actually happened to me today so it could be a Friday wind-up but she sounded so sincere..
I accept that some accounts people can be a wee bit on the thick side if working outside their box, but when a Major accounts company wants to open a credit account, you would expect their accounts administrator to know how to complete an accounts application form. When I rang her up and mentioned that she hadn't given me any references, she said, "Well, there's me and Dianne in the office here. Will we do as references"....DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I mentioned "trade references" she said, (and I quote) "Do you mean our suppliers?"
And this is the purchase ledger department of an international accounts LLP practice..........DOHHHHHHHHHHH.,.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Ouch...
That's funny FG, hopefully you get the info somehow!0 -
I just think it's a quirk of the accountancy practice industry that they're pitifully slow when it comes to their own credit control and collection procedures. I haven't paid Mazars for months and now owe them tens of thousands yet they don't seem in any rush to answer my fee queries and actually get paid for their work. Bizarre.0
