Well A-Vic's off at the Reading Festival so that makes the post count at least 50% down on usual.0

Had a great time, but can't say I was keen to use any PC while I was over there...
It's nice though, come back, 4 pages of new posts to waddle through. Imagine what it would be like if you all just kept posting and posting...0 -

Anyone else surprised at at how utterly shite ITV breakfast telly was this morning? I'm all for contemporary change where it's needed but to instantly scrap everything that was GMTV is a mistake methinks, and it just came across as a Channel Five type clone to me.0
-
LOL I don't have time to watch telly in the mornings, didn't even have enough time for brekkie today, had to eat it at my desk after a 9am meeting!
*hands out tea and coffee*0 -

Same here, I come to work and have breakfast and coffee. Although I usually arrive long before most others...0 -

Got to be honest Robert I've always thought ITV breakfast was shite, on the rare occasions I have the luxury of time on my hands in a morning and have watched TV whilst grabbing some breakfast it's always been BBCLOL I don't have time to watch telly in the mornings, didn't even have enough time for brekkie today, had to eat it at my desk after a 9am meeting!

Yep breakfast is usually at my desk while I check the online bank accounts, I leave home at 7.20am and don't usually have time for breakfast at home. Although I do get a lay in until 7am on Thursdays and Fridays :-)0 -
omg itv "daybreak" was horrendous. i know penny and the old gang were stiff and cardboard like, but those two trying to be funny were just annoying to say the least.
i have been on a 1st aid course today and what a waste of time - here's how it went
0845 turn up
0930 breakfast break
1115 fag break (i dont smoke but still went outside)
1200 - 1330 lunch
1410 finish for the day
bear in mind i had to travel 45 minutes each way for this and pay for a childminder to put my kid on the bus at 8.20 and pick her up at 15.00. i have to do the same on wednesday to enable me to get a certificate.
what a waste of time and money and it was sooo boring

Doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me either. At least did you learn something new?
It's the problem with those courses, they intend to give a lot of information in a very short time, but if you are used to studying, it's easy to follow and feels very empty, while if you're absolutely never learn anything new anymore, those days tend to be exhausting, no matter how short they are (although yours does sound really really really short).
My day today was:
-Finish month end closing.
-Write all purchase ledger accruals and give them to a colleague.
-Try and explain a marketing colleague that if budgets have budget holders for a reason and can not be randomly signed by another colleague, just because the supplier needs the payment (should have given me the invoice when it was raised and not when it was due or overdue then).
-Also heard that I've been volunteered to coordinate the manual that needs to be written for our finance department (and the deadline is end of September) by my manager, while I was the only one who didn't even know we were looking for a coordinator for that, because I was on holiday when they discussed it.
Not the best day of the year I suppose, but at least I got plenty of work and no time to read the forums.0 -
I demand that the English have our own forum (as long as keep out the damn scousers).0
-
How about an Irish girl living in Wales? Or would that be a forum of one?0
